I was told that Perth will become like Singapore some years ago and I said nah couldnt happen or wouldnt happen. Well guess what at the rate they are doing all these developments I am not sure about that anymore.
Yes I understand that Perth is very spread out and we need to get some infill happening but I am not so sure that it needs to become quite like they did to Claremont Oval.
If you dont agree with what's happening in your area make sure that you participate in the public comment with your Council this is the only way people will know how you feel.
Glyde Street Mosman Park two big developments one nearly completed and the next one is going through planning. There was very few residents in Glyde street to talk to the developers there and see what is actually happening I was a bit taken back, does that mean that the people in that area just dont care?
There is so much going on that it's definitely hard to keep up with that's for sure. By the time its all done in 20 years I will be looking down from above probably or I would have come back as my dog (only because I know they get spoilt)..
I suppose on one hand it gives more people the opportunity to live in the Western Suburbs but what about the people that have bought around those developments and the over shadowing that may/maynot happen. There are lots of things to consider but one thing is stand back and do nothing and most certainly you will have to put up and shut up.
