END OF THE LEAKY TAP

Well the Leaky Tap Cafe has been run by my daughter for almost four years now (March 2015 it started) and she has done a wonder job of bringing the locals together providing a place to have a chat and enjoy one of the best coffees around this area (I'm not biased at all  ha ha).

It has come to an end as Olivia becomes more heavily involved in Ninja Warrior and being the top Australian woman in Ninja she would like to pursue it more extensively and that of course would take her away from the Cafe and you cannot guarantee what it would be like whilst she is away so with a heavy heart she decided to let it go.

Very emotional time for all of us really as we loved having her at the front of our business and seeing her everyday and supporting her in the business.  With having very little experience in the beginning it was a tough road for her but she built up regulars who come to her every morning for their coffee fix and they will be looked after I am sure by the new owners.

The new owners are Federica & Barrie who will be doing Italian cuisine and of course good coffee.  They will want to apply for extended hours at the cafe from 6-9pm to offer to all the locals and their children with an early dinner option (there is a petition in the cafe if you pass by please pop in and sign it for them it would be very much appreciated).
We of course will support them and wish them the very best in their new adventure and having knowing them for just a week, their passion for the business is just so infectious. 

They will take over on the 1st January 2019 and reopen on the 3rd January so please if you are not away on holidays go in and support them we want the cafe to stay as a cafe.

With many people expressing their interest in the cafe it took a while to come to pick the "right" person and because it affects Vivian's Residential being at the front we had 50% say on who was the lucky winners.  We are extremely happy with Federica & Barrie.

Congratulations to Federica & Barrie we wish you well in your new business and we certainly will be looking forward to tasting your food.

Olivia thank you for everything you have done in the last 3 3/4 years its been a wonderful experience and lots of laughs.  Good luck with all your new plans (yet to be disclosed) but one thing is for sure we know you will give it 100% as you did with the cafe and everything you have done in your life up to date.
