GANG BUSTERS IN SYDNEY

My friend's daughter is over from Sydney for a few days break and she is involved in new apartment complexes.  They are selling out as fast as they are getting them (well they are not here).

Sydney people are forced with the decision of buying an apartment instead of the house and land thing as she was explaining to me people just don't want to lose 3-4 hours out of their day just travelling !! (cripes are we ever so lucky)  Probably there is going to be a few generations that are going to have to bring their kids up in apartments as the choice they will face is to be away from the good schools, too much travelling time and less family time, do not envy those decisions.

One bedroom apartments are selling for $400k (sorry bedsits which means all in one room basically).  The prices over there are a lot higher than we are here in Perth.  We are building so many apartments here but unfortunately I think they have actually flooded the market here and they are not selling.  There is definitely a over supply in the city, so much so that the rental market has been affected.  You can still get a two bedroom apartment for under $500,000 in Mosman Park what a bargain.

Apartments are definitely an option for everyone to buy into, they do offer good security but as I have said before you must look at their minutes and budget to see what has been happening or is about to happen.  Brand new ones can only summarise what they will be spending.  They shouldn't have any maintenance issues though for a awhile.

No one should be scared of apartment living but more like you have to adjust to the noises that appear during the night and day as you are  living in a multiple dwelling and it's not going to be so quiet.
