At a REIWA breakfast meeting on 12th November Damian Collins our REIWA president informed us that the residential tenancy act will be changing next year and it's got me fired up.
Over in the Eastern States tenants can decide to get a pet and the landlord has no say in it - yep that's right NO SAY !! Now they are going to bring that in over here in WA next year and REIWA are going to let that one go to the keeper as they are more concerned about the tenancy for life - where a tenant has the right to the lease the property for life - what in the hell is this world coming to.
Does the Government want to control all the housing in Australia that is for lease as then they can buy all the homes and rent them out then.
Investors are a huge part of this country supplying homes for people to live in and now they are saying you just have to shut up and go with all this crap legislation that they are bringing in - WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE ???
Number one you dont throw good tenants out
Number two it's your damn property you should be able to have a say who and what lives in your property after all it's you that is paying the bills
Wake up Australia and start to bite back on these idiots that are passing ridiculous laws that landlords have to abide by.
Investors are only just starting to come back into the market after a few years of bowing out and now this stuff is being put on them.
I for one are opposed to it and where there is a will there is a way !!
