STRATA COMPANIES WILL DWINDLE

 Over the next 6-12 months you will find there will be some strata companies dumping complexes.

Why  

• because they wont comply with all the new strata rules
• wont do what is necessary to get their 10 year plan organised
• dont want to start a reserve fund
• their buildings are in particularly bad shape because owners dont want to do anything
• just to difficult to keep the council of owners in check

Over the last few years the strata companies have let the council of owners get away with a lot of things that perhaps they shouldnt have but they are powerless to force them.  In the future they will have to comply or run the risk of fines.

Strata companies are going to really asses their risk with complexes so make sure you have the right one.

If you are not complying with these new rules you will get yourself into a position where you might just receive a very heavy fine so if you are an owner or are on the council make sure you get yourself up to speed or be it on your own head.
