Sunday was a volley ball competition on the beach at Scarborough wow what a crowd and what a set up. I have to applaud the organizers of such an event as it was really well organised, lots of shade and lots of courts for the volley ballers. There were some hilarious outfits on the courts and not sure who won the competition as I left before it finished.
It was pretty hot for all the players I have to say and I did notice some were wearing socks as the beach sand obviously got to hot for the feet. Just perfect under the shade for the spectators though.
Cottesloe Beach is where I normally go to swim/sunbathe but in all honesty that Scarborough Council has it all going on. Why Cottesloe cannot upgrade and put more shade across our beach front for those that don't always want to be in full sun is beyond me.
Really enjoyed watching the games, a few spills a few back problems from a few guys who fell hard into the sand. The corona bar was well attended once it opened at 12 noon and it was generally a very well organised event. BBQ snaggers were a also a bit hit, plus all the ice creams.
The beach looked amazing also with so many people swimming. The other good thing was there are lots of cafe's, take away food outlets that people were spoilt for choice.
