Christmas and New Year is generally a quiet time for real estate agents however there is always an influx of Xpats looking to secure themselves a property either as an investment or for themselves when they finally come back after all the huge money has been saved.
We are always around over the Christmas break as long as the phone rings and we get genuine people looking we are only too happy to oblige and take them to homes that are available over this time.
Sellers quite often will say that they don't want inspections over this time, all except Christmas day would probably say fair enough, but when you have cashed up xpats coming into town I would be opening up.
The time it takes to clean up a house (especially if it is a big one) is a lot to ask so we would be driving them past first to see if a) they like the location b) they like the house, if those boxes are ticked then expect a call.
