THE BANKS

Once upon a time you were known at your bank, the manager acknowledged you and you only had to ring up to get a feel of what you could borrow.

These days you are definitely a number and you will now have to jump through many hoops before they will give you some indication of where you stand.

Not only that Westpac have now decided that they dont want certain clients either and have given them all a month to find their investment loans elsewhere - wonder what would happen to Westpac if someone spread the rumour that you were going to go under - hmm wonder how you would like it when the tables were turned on you.  As I said customer service is out the window.

Brokers are exceptionally good and you do build up a relationship with them and they will shop your loan around to get you the best deals (well the ones that I know will).

I just feel that customer service has gone from the Banks and its extremely disappointing that they dont even seem to care.

With the Royal Commission going on they are now going to try and claw back all the money they have to give back to their clients that they ripped off them.

They are also pulling back on all sorts of things especially house loans and they are going to create real problems for some people that now dont fit into their "box" so to speak.  Never mind that their ability to pay is all good.  Very interesting times ahead.

I just hope the smaller banks grow in popularity and the bigger ones take a hit.  Sometimes the little ones just need to be more supported to gain the traction they need.
