THE YOUNG & THE POOR PRICED OUT OF PROPERTY

What an absolute ridiculous article in the West Australian today March 5th 2018.

The young and low income earners are being priced out of the property market !!

Seriously they have always been priced out of the market as they have NO SAVINGS!!

Young Australians to carry record levels of deb for much longer than their parents so they can own a home.

We did too, but we also couldn't have the treats that the young want to have i.e. mobile phones, tablets, ipads, new cars, holidays - let's face it they are not prepared to go without.

Those people that have been hit the hardest have been low-income earners, who now have to spend almost 30 percent of their incomes to retain a house.

What dont you get, not everyone can buy a 'HOUSE' some people live in an apartment and that could mean 6 of you. Trouble is not many Australians have travelled and seen what others have to do - ask an Indian person they think our apartments are luxurious, but oh no they are not good enough for the Australians to live in.  Champagne taste on a beer budget !!

To boost affordability, the institute believe a string of much-needed but politically unpalatable policies will be needed, including overhauling negative gearing, congestion road charges in major cities, a lift in housing density in so-called "middle ring" suburbs and inclusion of the home in the pension assets test.

Mr Daly you are so not in touch, not everyone can get there to own their own home its just not possible. State Housing provides a lot of homes for next to nothing for those that cannot make it towards buying their own homes, however if you overhaul the negative gearing guess what the pressure on State Housing will be even harder - seriously the dumb things that people say I hope you are fully qualified in what you do Mr Daly as I think it would be a disaster. Road Tolls - what a joke WA doesnt have them. Lift in housing density - hell no we are getting crammed into some upper class ghettos now - the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.  No people need to buy where they can bloody afford, or rent where they can afford thats life.
The Government needs to stop raising all the taxes so damn high, cut the stamp duty, cut the land tax, capital gains tax - tax, tax and more bloody taxes.  Start spending within your means Government stop trying to make the people pay for your short comings.
Now you want to hit the retirees for pete's sake leave them alone, they have worked long and hard paid all their taxes and you keep slamming them, take away the damn dole.  The family home is not taxed and nor should it be.
Just face facts, some people can buy and others cannot, its been that way from the very start of time and nothing short of "giving" someone a home is going to change it.

MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS AND GIVE IT A REAL GO!!
SELLING MOSMAN PARK & THE WESTERN SUBURBS!!
KEEPING IT REAL IS OUR MOTTO!!
