MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO LIVE

With summer now in full swing and the weather being very hot and extremely good beach weather it makes me realise just how lucky we are to have the most stunning beaches in Cottesloe available to us all to go for a swim.

Today was awesome down the beach, swimming was a complete joy (something I have not done on a Tuesday at 2pm during the day for 16 years).  The water was actually quite warm and it felt like you were swimming in a big bath tub.

With all the people on the beach (school's not back yet) there was still plenty of space and not too crowded in the water.  The water was crystal clear, sandy bottoms, no seaweed just so beautiful, really am extremely lucky to be able to utilize this beautiful beach.

What does sadden me is people leaving their bottles, fruit stones and lots of other bits and pieces on the sand.  Why cant people just pick up their rubbish and put it in the bin is just beyond me - ah well I suppose most people do the right thing.

What also is very special is walking on the beach early morning, South Cottesloe/Leighton doggie beach its unbelievable in the morning.  All the early birds out their on their paddle boards, swimming, fishing it's really inspiring that there are so many healthy people making use of what we have available to us.

As a dear friend of mine said to me today, this is the prime time to fall in love with Cottesloe as summer is the peak period for it.  Winter is not that bad really except when we get the storms but to be perfectly honest we still do not cop a lot of damage it seems to hit the inner suburbs more than it does ours.

Make sure if you have not yet had a swim at Cottesloe go down and enjoy it, especially if you love the sunsets it's particular good sitting on the balcony of the old Cottesloe hotel enjoying a beautiful cold beer !!
