Over the last few weeks it has proven to me time and time again the benefits of gong to a really good broker. We use a couple of really good ones and we usually give out both cards to our prospective clients and whoever he/she answers first usually gets the business !!
The banks as per usual give the young ones the raspberry on the under 50m2 rule which is really ridiculous as that's about all they can afford to buy.
People are not just getting it - brokers do not cost you anything (the bank pays for them) they should be able to come out to you not you to them and at a time that suits you.
From my knowledge you need:
2 payslips
any credit card debit
any bad debits (now have you paid all those bills on time, hoe that you have not run and left any alinta gas or energy bill unpaid coz eek if you have)
any car loans or any other loans for that matter
are you living within your means
do you have savings and have three months proven savings through the bank
All these sorts of things absolutely count up as to wether you will get a loan or not.
Really difficult ones we have been able to get over the line with our brokers, I mean obviously if you are not working and dont have any savings forget not even a magician can get that done for you.
You should be checking with a broker way before you really have found that place you just have to have as its so disappointing for people when they are three months away before they are eligible. Take the time out and have it all checked out it will benefit you in the long run.
